Safety

A safe working environment is the most important goal for every company, and NFP is no exception. We place the safety and well-being of our employees as our utmost responsibility.

At NFP, we employ dedicated safety professionals in every office across our company. Working closely with our Risk Management professionals, our safety team is second to none and ensures maximum productivity in the safest means possible.

NFP conducts specialized ongoing Safety Training for our employees. Topics included in the training are:

• OSHA 10 hour course
• OSHA 30 Hour course
• First Aid and CPR
• Confined Spaces
• Lock Out – Tag Out
• Fall Protection
• Forklift
• Rigging
• other specific training (as the job requires)

We also audit our jobs on a regular basis to verify compliance with not only required standards, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), but also our own more stringent safety program.

Our efforts have benefited us in many ways. Some of our achievements include:

• Maintained an experience mod rate at least 15 points below industry average since 2001.
• Received safety awards and recognition, including:
  • Allison Transmission Facility for performance in the project’s Zero Time Lost Accident Program.
  • Presidential Helicopter Program Support Facility in recognition of the outstanding support with the Safety and Quality Incentive Program at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
