Tysons Corner Center Expansion

McLean, VA

Tysons Corner Center is the largest shopping mall in the Washington, DC area and the fifth largest mall in the United States. In 2005, the mall introduced a 362,000 square-foot expansion that included a sixteen-screen AMC megaplex with stadium seating, a two-level Barnes & Noble, a new food court, and numerous fine restaurants and specialty stores. The expansion also included a new parking deck of 1650 spaces.

NFP installed new wet pipe sprinkler systems that were connected to the existing piping in the mall expansion. A manual dry standpipe was installed in the parking deck.
