Edward J. Pryzbala University Center
Washington, DC
Located at the heart of Catholic University (CUA), the Edward J. Pryzbala University Center, nicknamed “The Pryz” by students, serves as a center for both the campus community and visitors to enjoy a wide range of activities. Completed in March 2003, The Pryz includes the offices of the Division of Student Life, the Student Restaurant and Food Court, the CUA Bookstore, Starbucks, the campus convenience store, lounges spaces, and computer kiosks. The center’s Great Room has served as the venue of choice for numerous concerts, live stage performances, public forums, and lectures, along with hosting a variety of notable guests.
NFP was an integral part of the design-bid-build team for the construction of the 100,000 square foot, three story center. NFP installed approximately 1100 sprinklers for wet pipe sprinklers systems throughout the building, wet standpipe systems, and a dry pipe sprinkler system for the loading dock.
