Coordination & Engineering

National Fire Protection, LLC houses one of the largest and most experienced coordination and engineering departments in the industry. By adopting the most up-to-date computer assisted drawing technologies, our coordination and engineering professionals are able to refine and enhance fire protection system design documents, which in turn fosters more efficient and timely construction.

NFP’s coordination and engineering department often leads the MEP trades in developing a coordinated approach for the fabrication and construction of all associated MEP components, as well as the fire protection systems. As part of our collaborative effort, we work with representatives of all the major construction trades to identify and resolve possible installation conflicts and design discrepancies prior to the start of site work.

By working with state of the art design technologies such as NAVIS, BIM, and ReVit, NFP is able to develop three dimensional drawings and virtual 3D project models. This permits our construction team to build a “virtual project” months before our field forces even get to the site. This enables NFP to create fabrication and assembly drawings that are used to release major pieces of fabrication so that we stay on time and within budget.
