October 25, 2019 – Today, Rommel Construction Group, a Mid-Atlantic based construction firm, announced the acquisition of National Fire Protection (NFP), one of the country’s leading fire protection installation & design companies focused on large, complex, federal and private sector projects, to include many major hospitality, aviation, and healthcare projects. NFP Management has partnered with Rommel in this transaction to enable NFP to execute on its ambitious strategic plans with strong specialty construction expertise and financial backing. Moving forward, NFP will no longer be affiliated with Kirlin Florida, Kirlin Builders, Kirlin Carolinas, Kirlin MidAtlantic or Kirlin Design Build. To drive the next phase of the company’s growth and efficiency initiatives, Jimmy McLellan will remain President with plans to retain the company’s talented management team and employees.
“NFP’s sale to Rommel is the realization of an extensive effort to find the right business partner for NFP” said Jimmy McLellan, NFP President. “We had a goal to align ourselves with someone who not only understands what our fiscal needs are, but who could also understand the company’s legacy, its people, and its customer base. Today, we have accomplished that goal, and now look forward to realizing our longer-term vision and reconfirming our position as one of the best.”
